Hall of Fame: Quality

Congratulations to all the students who were recipients of Hall of Fame at our special assembly today! This term’s Core Value focus is Quality. These students will celebrate with morning tea with Mr Selwood on Thursday. We were also treated to a special guest performance by the band Plague, featuring our very own Eli, Nikolai, and THPS alumni, Ted and Sam, showcasing their hits Souls Burning and Meaty Meaty. Our Junior Choir also performed a beautiful rendition of A Million Dreams.

Book Week!

There was a lot of treasure to be found at school today for our annual Book Week Parade!
It was so wonderful to see everyone dressing up as their favourite Book Week characters.
A special thank you to our wonderful Mrs Derricott for all her efforts in organising Book Week.
Please enjoy the photos and videos.

Tighes Hill’s Got Talent!

Congratulations to all our fantastic performers who took part in the Stage 3 Talent Quest today. Tighes Hill definitely has a lot of talent! It was lovely to see such a range of creative performances. Well done to our winners Jemima and Rebecca for their beautiful ukulele performance, Koby and Issach for their hilarious comedy magic routine, and Hamish for his amazing musical performance. Thank you to our judges, Miss Boyle, Finn, and Tighes Hill PS alumni, Oscar!

Discovery Day: Science & Engineering Challenge

On Friday, 5/6A OC and 6B attended the annual Discovery Day: Science & Engineering Challenge, hosted by St Therese’s Primary School. It was a great day and students were involved in a variety of challenges, from building miniature catapults, bionic hands, constructing water turbines, developing networks, using light transmission to communicate messages, and bridge building to support strong weights. Here are some photos and videos from our day.

Children’s University: September Challenge

A reminder for all our Children’s University students that passport hours need to be finalised by the end of Week 9 (Friday 21/9/18).

Why not get a head start on the yummy September Challenge (below) or have a go at the Book Week activity.

September Challenge

Everyone loves to eat, and everyone has a meal that they love more than any other. How many of us know how to cook, though? Your challenge for this month is to prepare your favourite recipe and share it with us. When you share, make sure you tell us why you love this meal so much and include a photo of the finished product, or even some video footage! Remember to get help from an adult if you’re using dangerous utensils or equipment in the kitchen. Be sure to take evidence to your in school CUA Coordinator for a stamp in your passport. Time allocated is at the discretion of the in school CUA Coordinator. We can’t wait to see what you create!
