Speak Off!

Congratulations to all our amazing speakers who presented their speeches today at our annual Speak Off Competition. We heard about a variety of topics, including cockroaches, pet peeves, apples, magic, grandparents and technology, younger siblings, Australian stereotypes and many more! The audience was entertained and in fits of laughter. What a talented bunch of speakers we were blessed to listen to today. A special congratulations to our winners, Nikolai and Seb in Stage 3. Our winners will present their speeches and compete at the Hunter Interschools Public Speaking Competition. Well done, everybody!

Speak Off

Congratulations to all of our amazing public speakers who took part in the Speak Off competition yesterday morning. I was incredibly proud of Finlay and Hunter – you guys were amazing! It was a tough decision as there were so many fantastic speakers, however, Ember and Georgie were the overall winners for Stage 3, and Seb and Rebecca were the overall winners for Stage 2. These students will represent our school at Zone next term. Well done, everyone!

Speak Off

Congratulations to Olivia and Ember, who were the winners of our Stage 3 Speak Off, and to Georgie and Jules, who were the winners of our Stage 2 Speak Off. It was a very tough competition with so many wonderful speakers. A shout out to Nyah and Hunter, who represented 5B and did a wonderful job. I was incredibly proud of all our speakers, as it can be quite nerve-wracking having to talk in front of such a large group of people, both in class and at the Speak Off. Olivia, Ember, Georgie, and Jules will now represent our school at a variety of public speaking competitions later this year with Mrs Derricott.
