Table Tennis with Dennis the Menace

This term we have been lucky enough to play Table Tennis each Friday with Dennis the Table Tennis Menace (note: his real name is Jono). 6B have really been getting into table tennis and Mr Selwood has even visited us to take on Imogen H and Cooper (spoiler alert: they have been practising hard and smashed him).

Yesterday was our last Table Tennis session with ‘Dennis’ for the term and a few of the kids were pretty devastated as they had grown quite fond of him. In particular, Jude and Finlay, who changed the lyrics to a series of songs and performed them for Dennis. As a bonus surprise, Dennis turns out to be quite a gifted pianist and joined in on our ‘So You Think You’ve Got Talent‘ competition and serenaded the kids with his own covers. The looks on the faces of Finlay and Jude say it all. Best day of their lives.

Here is the beautiful performance here:

Athletics Carnival

Well done to all our athletes who participated in events and games yesterday at our annual THPS Athletics Carnival. Thank you to all our wonderful parent helpers and supporters who came along. A huge thank you to Mr Slade for organising a fantastic day! Check out the photos in our Athletics Carnival album. Go Bryant!

Sport in the sun!

Stage 2 and 3 have been enjoying a beautiful day in the Sun, practising their Rugby drills with Dane, as well as learning how to bat like a pro in Table Tennis with Jono. Here are some photos of 6B!

Sport: Gymnastics

Rain, hail, or shine, we still manage to complete our weekly session of Gymnastics with Coach Sally and Coach Emily. It is great to see 6B growing in confidence with their routines. Here are some photos from our latest session. Click on each image to enlarge.

6B stretching or bowing down to Supreme Leader Bowman? Hmm….

Mini Olympics

Unfortunately, due to the poor weather and conditions of the grounds, our Mini-Olympics event did not go ahead today. We have re-scheduled this event for this coming Monday 29th August.
This will mean that our K-2 and 3-6 assemblies will not be on. 2HE, who were scheduled to present next week will do this in Week 8.
Students are still encouraged to come dressed out of uniform in sporting attire of their country’s colours.

State of Origin Predictions

Today, 5B did a poll to predict which team will be victorious in Game 1 of the 2016 State of Origin, NSW or QLD. Students chose the team they thought would be most likely to win and then predicted how many points they think they will win by. Check out our predictions below:
