Chess Challenge!

Well done to all of our students who took part in the Interschool Chess Challenge today at HSPA. Students represented our school with pride, placing equal 3rd overall. Great work!

Chess Champions

Well done to all of our wonderful students who attended the NSW Junior Chess Teams Tournament today at the PCYC at Broadmeadow. Students played in teams of three and did a sensational job competing against schools from all over the Hunter. Congratulations to Connor, Akira, and Jamie’s team who placed 2nd today, earning themselves some lovely medals and a trophy for our cabinet. Well done, everyone!

Checkmate @ the Chess Challenge

Congratulations to our year 5/6 students who accompanied Ms Armstrong at the Interschool Chess Challenge at HSPA yesterday. They had a very successful day of competition, placing 1st in the primary division. Well done to Connor, who was the overall winner of the competition, Jamie who placed 3rd, Akira who placed 5th, and Olivia who placed 12th. All students performed exceptionally well, demonstrated excellent sportsmanship and terrific behaviour. Our school has now earned a position in the semi-finals coming up in term 3. A big thank you to all the wonderful parents who helped make this event possible by providing transport and to Ms Armstrong for organising this event. Have a look at our super chess stars below:
