Wonder

Today, Stage 3 had a WONDERful day as they headed to Hoyts Cinema to view the film ‘Wonder‘, which is one of our Stage 3 novels. The movie was a beautiful dramatisation of the book. Afterwards, we headed to Centennial Park for lunch and a play in the sun.

6B, what was your favourite part of the film? Did it make you laugh, cry, both? Leave me a response below. I’d love to hear your thoughts.

The Witches!

Just a reminder that our Stage 3 excursion to see Roald Dahl’s ‘The Witches’ is coming up on Monday 5th June. Make sure your permission note and money have been returned to school.

Murrook Cultural Excursion

Year 5 and 6 students attended the Murrook Culture Centre today as part of their Aboriginal History unit this term. They participated in a variety of activities, including Aboriginal Totem Art with Rachel, Bush Medicine and Tucker with Makayla, Aboriginal Artefacts with Adam, and Worimi History with Steve. It was a fantastic opportunity for students to learn about Worimi culture from Worimi men and women. Thank you to the teachers who accompanied Year 5 and 6 today, and a special thank you to Kristy Pascoe, Lucy’s Mum, for giving up her time to come along with us today. Enjoy the photos from our day.

Life Education

6B had a wonderful time at the Life Education centre today. We did a session based on making decisions and the things that influence our decision making. It was a great way to discuss some serious content, whilst also having a fun time. 6B were very excited to meet their favourite giraffe, Harold, and enjoyed posing for photos with him.

Too cool for school these guys are.
The moment Harold was exposed as a puppet and not a real giraffe (spoiler alert). #neverforget
